London, United kingdom, November 6, 2025 — London marked a significant milestone in public safety on Thursday, 6 November 2025, with the official launch of its first AI-integrated community policing hubs across several boroughs. The initiative, led by the Metropolitan Police Service in partnership with local councils, aims to harness artificial intelligence to support officers in real-time crime prevention and community engagement.
The new hubs feature advanced AI-powered analytics, facial recognition technology, and predictive tools designed to identify emerging risks and streamline incident response. Officers stationed at the hubs will receive live data insights, enabling faster deployment and more targeted patrols in neighbourhoods.
Superintendent Aisha Patel, overseeing the rollout in Hackney, stated, “These hubs represent a new era of proactive policing, allowing us to respond swiftly and keep communities safer while maintaining transparency and public trust.”
Community leaders have welcomed the innovation, highlighting its potential to foster collaboration and deliver safer streets for all Londoners.
