FROM LOSS TO LEGACY: HOLLY FERGUSON EXPANDS HEALING HAVEN LIVING’S MISSION TO BUILD INTENTIONAL COMMUNITIES FOR GRIEVING FAMILIES

BOSTON, MA, May 12, 2026 – One year after the release of her bestselling guide to navigating grief, Holly Ferguson continues to deepen her impact beyond the pages of Life, Love & Loss: Walking the Painful Road, Rediscovering Life Shaped by Grief. The author is now expanding her vision through Healing Haven Living, an initiative dedicated to creating intentional communities where families navigating loss can find solace, understanding, and meaningful connection.

Since its August 2025 launch, Life, Love & Loss has resonated with thousands of readers seeking permission to grieve at their own pace, now, Holly sits down to discuss what’s next: how writing the book transformed her own healing journey, the profound reader feedback that keeps her motivated, and her vision for expanding Healing Haven Living into spaces where grieving families can truly belong.

THE INTERVIEW

Q: What inspired you to write Life, Love & Loss?
Holly Ferguson: I wanted to create something that helps others feel seen, understood, and a little less alone. Through my own experience with loss and the realization that so many people are navigating grief quietly, I recognized the need for a compassionate voice that doesn’t rush the process or offer empty platitudes.

Q: What is the core message you want readers to take away from your book?
HF: That grief and love are deeply connected. Even after loss, it’s possible to keep living, growing, and finding meaning again. This isn’t about moving on in the traditional sense. It’s about integration—learning to carry love forward while building a full, intentional life around it.

Q: Can you share a key moment or turning point in your journey that shaped this book?
HF: A turning point for me was recognizing that healing doesn’t mean moving on. It means learning how to carry love forward while still building a life around it. That shift in perspective changed everything. It gave me permission to stop waiting to feel normal again and start creating a new normal that honored both my loss and my future.

Q: How has writing this book helped you personally?
HF: It’s given me space to reflect, process, and put words to feelings that are hard to explain. In many ways, the book has been part of my own healing. The act of writing forced me to be vulnerable, to sit with difficult emotions, and ultimately to realize that my story could help others to.

“You’re not letting your grief define you, but it is guiding you.”

Q: What would you say to someone currently going through grief or loss?
HF: Take it one moment at a time. There’s no right way to grieve, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. There will be ebbs and flows, moments of progress followed by unexpected setbacks. That’s normal. That’s human. Give yourself grace during those harder moments.

Q: Have you received any feedback from readers that stood out to you?
HF: I’ve received a lot of positive feedback, which has been incredibly meaningful, especially hearing how the book has helped so many readers. While I understand it may not resonate with everyone, I’m truly grateful that it’s supporting those who connect with it. One piece of feedback that has really stayed with me is when someone shared that the book felt like it was speaking directly to them. That’s exactly what I hoped to achieve.

Q: What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects or plans?
HF: I’m continuing to build out Healing Haven Living by creating supportive resources such as community gatherings for families. The goal is to help families feel connected and hopeful, ultimately building intentional communities where healing and belonging can truly take root. I envision spaces where parents raising children after loss can find real understanding and support from others who truly understand.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with readers?
HF: If you’re feeling alone in your grief, especially while raising children or young adults, you’re not meant to carry it by yourself. I’d encourage people to join our Facebook community, where you can feel supported, understood, and not so alone. You belong there.
