London Council Launches AI-Powered Public Consultation Platform to Guide 2026 Policy

London, United kingdom, November 6, 2025 — The London Borough of Westminster today announced the launch of an innovative artificial intelligence-powered public consultation platform, set to transform how local residents contribute to policy decisions ahead of the 2026 local elections. The new system, developed in collaboration with leading UK technology partners, will enable residents to submit feedback on council initiatives and community priorities through a secure online portal.

Launching on 10 November 2025, the platform uses advanced AI to analyse thousands of public submissions in real time, ensuring every voice is heard and key themes are swiftly identified. Councillor Amelia Singh, Cabinet Member for Digital Innovation, said, “This technology empowers our community to shape local policy more effectively than ever before. By streamlining analysis, we can respond to residents’ needs with greater speed and precision.”

The council anticipates the platform will increase participation, reduce administrative workload, and deliver more responsive, data-driven policies for Londoners as the city prepares for a new era of civic engagement.
