The Flatland Low Brass Choir is thrilled to announce that internationally acclaimed, award-winning musician Tianyu Xue will join the ensemble for an exciting summer of music-making and community engagement.

LUBBOCK, TX, June 03, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — From June 16th to September 16th, 2025, Tianyu Xue will be leading an ambitious recording project, “Introduce Chinese Folk Song Through Arrangements for Trombone and Piano.” This innovative project, designed for the International Trombone Festival and the Louisiana Music Educator Association, will feature new arrangements, intensive rehearsals, multi-track recording sessions, and expert post-production editing. The initiative aims to bridge cultural traditions and introduce audiences to the rich heritage of Chinese folk music through the powerful voices of trombone and piano.

As part of the summer’s highlights, Tianyu Xue will rehearse and perform with the Flatland Low Brass Choir in the beloved “Concert in the Park Series.” The public is warmly invited to experience this unique collaboration at:
