The institute will be home to a series of free, virtual leadership courses offered in collaboration with Ivy-League universities, top military leaders, and impactful voices in the community

SAN ANTONIO, TX, January 06, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Thanks to the growing support and demand for leadership development within the military spouse community, Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) is proud to officially announce the establishment of the Leadership Institute for Military Spouses (LIMS). The institute will be home to a series of free, virtual, and global leadership courses offered in collaboration with Ivy-League universities, top military leaders, and impactful voices in the community.

Through LIMS, military spouses will have the chance to apply to five training courses, including the distinguished Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP), which launched in 2021 in collaboration with the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative at Harvard University, and has graduated over 300 rising leaders with certificates in Leadership in Crisis and Mental Health Allyship from Psych Hub.

New programs joining the LIMS catalog include an advanced leadership program and mental health training in collaboration with the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame and its military-connected community are working with MSAN to offer courses for military spouses with a focus on developing:

Ethical leadership skills in support of professional development.
Skills that promote and enhance resilience and mental health.

In addition, MSAN will also be offering an introductory course for military spouses just starting out in their leadership journey called the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), designed to provide military spouses with essential leadership skills to thrive as individuals, at home, and within their communities.

Graduates of LIMS will also enjoy benefits as alumni, including exclusive access to the Alumni Network, which provides ongoing support and resources for military spouses through events, monthly workshops, and mentorship opportunities.
